JAVA WARNING

Java is a programming language that has been used to create software on a multitude of computers and other devices. While, like most software, there are been a number of vulnerabilities exposed in Java over time, Java has recently become a bit of a lightening rod as of late, probably due to the fact that it is a cross-platform system, running on virtually all kinds of computing devices.

Some serious vulnerabilities have been discovered lately and are currently being exploited by hackers.  It is strongly recommended that:

  1. You ensure your Java installation is up to date, and
  2. You disable Java in your web browser.

There are instructions for doing this in our How To... section of the IT Resources website.
