Thank you for your interest in our graduate program and the Cognitive Aging Lab.

Typically we accept one graduate student every one or two years depending on ongoing lab projects. Prospective applicants should list Dr. Wendy Thornton as a preferred supervisor on the general application for the Department of Psychology at SFU. Applications are independently reviewed by faculty members within the department and those favourably reviewed are invited for an interview.

More information on current projects, published articles, and conference presentations in our lab can be found on the Research page.

We periodically seek motivated and hard-working undergraduate students to join our lab as volunteer research assistants. We provide our volunteers with valuable experiencen all aspects of the research process including: participant recruitment, interviewing, data scoring and entry, and literature reviews.Training and supervision is typically provided by graduate students in the Cognitive Aging Lab. Given the significant time commitment related to training and supervision we require a minimum committment of 6 hours per week.

We do not have any current opportunities for volunteers in Fall 2015, but anticipate opportunities in Spring and Summer 2016.
